OUR NEIGHBOURS

We are very next to the Angkor Conservative Centre, river of Siem Reap:

1. Opposite villa’s entrance at the larger road, Mahob Khmer, Hot Stone, and Amok Khmer, while Peace Cafe (vegetarian) is just across the river!

2. Turn left at the larger road, about 150m is the Siem Reap river and the block of foreign run cafe and public garden, while the vegetarian restaurant (Peace Cafe) is about 300m away!

3. ABA Bank (ATM) is just at the corner, 7 Eleven Mini Mart (24hr/7) just about 200m from the villa, while the Local Pub Street (Road 60m) is about 1km away!

4. Angkor National Museum, Angkor Botanical Garden, Royal Garden, Theam’s Gallery, Killing Field are all within walking distance…

US DOLLAR IMPORTANT NOTICE!!

We kindly request your attention to an important matter regarding currency exchange during your stay. As a reminder, here in Cambodia, we accept both USD and Riels. However, please be aware of torn, stained, aged, and old US dollar notes.

To ensure a hassle-free transaction, pls be sure that your USD notes presented are in well- preserved condition and meet the standard acceptance criteria. This includes bills that are clean, undamaged, and without any excessive wear or tear!!

** For currency exchange, it is recommended to go to the bank. Some banks, like ABA Bank, operate until 8pm and it is just a stone through away from your villa!

Siem Reap Airport (SAI)

Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI)

Starting from October 16th, 2023, all flights have been relocated to the new airport (SAI), which is approximately 50km away from Siem Reap. Private service for transportation to and from the airport costs between $35 – $45 per way. For convenient options, you can refer to the airport taxi counter or use mobile apps like “Grab” and “Cambodia Ride,” which offer similar pricing!

Optional, recently there is an available bus shuttle service from Airport – Siem Reap & Siem Reap – Airport with daily regular schedule at 8$ per person:

  • – Siem Reap  – Airport : 8:00am, 11:00am, 13:30am, 16:30pm (from CDF Duty Free Store)
  • – Airport  – Siem Reap : 09:30am, 12:30pm, 15:00pm, 20:00pm (stop @CDF Duty Free Store)

** The ticket is available at the airport bus ticket office (08:00am-18:00pm) & CDF Duty Free Store (10:00am-18:00pm)

Full Itinerary

Start @ 04:45 am (breakfast box available on request): Rise early to catch the mesmerizing sunrise at Angkor Wat. The temple complex opens early for visitors to witness this breathtaking spectacle.

Sunrise @ Angkor Wat: Arrive at Angkor Wat in time to find a good spot to witness the sunrise over the temple. Capture the magical moment as the sun paints the sky with vibrant hues.

Angkor Thom South Gate, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephant, Royal Palace, Thomanon, Chao Say Daravoda: After experiencing the sunrise, head to Angkor Thom, the ancient capital city of the Khmer Empire. Explore the South Gate, adorned with giant stone faces. Visit the Bayon temple, famous for its smiling stone carvings. Discover the Baphoun temple, the Terrace of the Elephant, the Royal Palace area, Thomanon temple, and Chao Say Daravoda temple.

Lunch @ Srah Srang (local restaurants): Take a break and enjoy a delicious lunch at one of the local restaurants near Srah Srang, a beautiful reservoir. Relax and replenish your energy for the rest of the day.

Visit Taprohm (Tomb Raider), Banteay Kdei & Kravan: After lunch, visit Ta Prohm, also known as the “Tomb Raider” temple, famous for its intertwining trees and atmospheric ruins. Explore the mystical ambiance and marvel at the tree roots that have engulfed the temple. Continue to Banteay Kdei, an elegant Buddhist monastery, and Kravan, a brick temple dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu.

Back to the villa and enjoy the pool: Finally, return to your villa and take some time to relax and unwind in the pool. Reflect on the stunning sights and experiences of the day and recharge for the adventures to come.

Banteay Srei Temple, Grand Tours & Sunset

Breakfast @ 8:00 am : Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, getting energized for the adventures ahead.

Departure to Banteay Srei: Begin your tour at 9:00 am and head towards Banteay Srei, a stunning temple known for its intricate and well-preserved pink sandstone carvings. Marvel at the detailed craftsmanship and explore this unique gem of Angkor.

Optional Visits: Pre Rup and Banteay Samre: Along the way to Banteay Srei, you have the option to visit Pre Rup, a beautiful pyramid temple offering panoramic views, and Banteay Samre, a temple complex showcasing impressive architecture.

Sugar Palm Homemade & Local Home Handicraft: Immerse yourself in the local culture by visiting a sugar palm homemade production site. Learn about the traditional process of making sugar palm products and try some delicious treats. You can also visit a local home handicraft workshop to observe artisans creating unique crafts and souvenirs.

Lunch @ Local Restaurant: Indulge in a flavorful lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the authentic Khmer cuisine and taking a break from your exploration.

East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Poan & Preah Khan: After lunch, continue your grand tour by visiting the East Mebon temple, renowned for its massive elephant statues. Explore Ta Som, a small but charming temple engulfed by trees, followed by Neak Poan, an intricate temple surrounded by ponds. Conclude your temple-hopping with a visit to Preah Khan, a vast and labyrinthine complex that was once a royal monastery.

Sunset @ Bakheng Mountain (optional @ Tonle Om Gate): Head to Bakheng Mountain for a majestic sunset experience overlooking the Angkor Archaeological Park. Alternatively, you can choose to witness the sunset at Tonle Om Gate, offering a different perspective and ambiance.

Day 03 Tour Itinerary

Phnom Kulen (Waterfall) and Tonle Sap Lake
– Start at 9am to Kulen mountain (only car)
– Visit Thousand Linga, Preah Ang Thom, relax by waterfall (swimming is allowed with properly dress)
– Back from mountain after 12pm, then continue to Kompong Phluk Floating Village (Tonle Sap)
– Back to villa with optional to visit Rolous Group (3temples)

** Note: @KulenMountain, the waterfall at 3rd level, the wooden staircase is steep and slippery. Elderly people are not recommended at this lowest level!

Full Itinerary

Breakfast @ 8:00 am: Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel, fueling up for another day of exciting adventures.

Departure to Phnom Kulen (Kulen Mountain): Start your journey at 9:00 am towards Phnom Kulen, a sacred mountain in Cambodia known for its beautiful waterfalls and spiritual sites. Please note that transportation will be by car due to the terrain.

Visit Thousand Linga, Preah Ang Thom, and Waterfalls: Explore the enchanting Thousand Linga riverbed, where you can witness ancient Hindu carvings on the riverbed rocks. Continue your visit to Preah Ang Thom, a temple housing a massive reclining Buddha statue. Afterward, enjoy some relaxation time at the stunning waterfalls of Phnom Kulen. Swimming is allowed, but please make sure to dress appropriately.

Return from the Mountain: Depart from the mountain after 12:00 pm, taking in the scenic views as you make your way back.

Kompong Phluk Floating Village (Tonle Sap Lake): Continue your adventure by visiting Kompong Phluk Floating Village located on the famous Tonle Sap Lake. Explore the fascinating village built on stilts, learn about the local way of life, and take a boat ride to witness the unique floating houses and vibrant ecosystem.

Optional Visit: Rolous Group (3 Temples): If time permits and you’re interested, you have the option to visit the Rolous Group, which consists of three early Angkor temples. Discover the charm and history of these ancient structures.

Return to your Villa: After a full day of exploration, return to your villa and relax, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the day.

Sunrise

– Sunrise at Angkor Wat : Start your day early to witness the spectacular sunrise over Angkor Wat, the iconic temple complex. Marvel at the intricate architecture and explore the different sections of this UNESCO World Heritage site!

– Sunrise at Srah Srang : After Angkor Wat, head to Srah Srang, a beautiful reservoir known for its picturesque sunrise views. Take some time to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere!

Sunset 

Angkor Wat : In the evening, return to Angkor Wat to experience the magical sunset. Find a vantage point to capture breathtaking photos as the sun sets behind the temple’s silhouette!

Bakheng Mountain: Hike up Bakheng Mountain to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding temples and landscapes. This is a popular spot to watch the sunset and admire the beauty of Angkor!

Tonle Om Gate Angkor Thom: Explore the ancient city of Angkor Thom, starting with the impressive Tonle Om Gate. Admire the intricate carvings and learn about the historical significance of this entrance gate.

West Baray: Continue your tour to West Baray, an enormous man-made reservoir. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and take a dip in the refreshing water if permitted!

Tonle Sap Lake (Kampong Phluk): Embark on a boat trip to Kampong Phluk, a floating village located on the Tonle Sap Lake. Witness the unique way of life as the locals go about their daily activities amidst the water!

Chreav (Paddy Rice Field): Visit Chreav, a village known for its picturesque paddy rice fields. Learn about the traditional farming methods and immerse yourself in the rural countryside atmosphere!

Remote Temple Tours

Beng Mealea: Beng Mealea, an ancient temple located in the middle of the jungle. Explore the temple ruins and witness the stunning overgrown nature surrounding it. Feel like an explorer as you navigate through the crumbling passageways and discover hidden courtyards. This remote temple offers a unique and adventurous experience away from the crowds (the same Angkor Wat ticket)!

Koh Ker: Head to the remote temple complex of Koh Ker, once the capital of the Khmer Empire. Marvel at the Prasat Thom pyramid temple, which offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding forests. Explore other temples in the area, such as Prasat Pram and Prasat Neang Khmau, which are known for their unique architecture and carvings (ticket 15$/pax)!

Kbal Spean: Conclude your remote tour with a visit to Kbal Spean, also known as the “River of a Thousand Lingas.” Trek through the jungle trail and reach the waterfall where intricate carvings of Hindu deities can be found on the riverbed. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and take a dip in the cool waters before heading back (the same Angkor Wat ticket)!

Preah Vihear: Visit the majestic Preah Vihear Temple, perched on a cliff at the Dângrêk Mountains. Explore the temple complex, admire the intricate carvings, and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding plains. Learn about the historical and cultural significance of this UNESCO World Heritage site (you need to hire the private pickup car to the mountain top at about 25$/vehicle)!
